Elisa KAWAGUTI
[Retour]Born in Kitakyushu, Kawasuti studied at the University of Arts and Music in Tokyo with Hisaoki Ohno and Yoshio Unno. She has been prize-winner of different international competitions in Japan as well as of the Wieniawski competition in Poland, the Paganini contest in ltaly and last but certainly not least, of The Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in Belgium.
In Brussels, she studied with André Gertier and with Kati Sebestyèn. Elisa Kawasuti obtained the Prize of Honour from the City of Kitakyushu and from the Japanese Government. She performs as soloist or as a chamber music artist in Japan, China and many European countries.
Since 1 996, Elisa Kawasuti is Konzertmeister of the Koninklijk Filharmonisch Orkest van Vlaanderen. She is also violin teacher at the Lemmens Instituut in Leuven.
She is admired by her students for her overall approach to bearing and relaxation
