Feng NING
[Retour]Violinist Ning Feng was born in Chengdu, China, and studied at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music and at the Royal Academy of Music, London. He is quickly developing a reputation as an artist of great lyricism and emotional transparency, displaying tremendous bravura and awe-inspiring technical accomplishment.
Ning won first prize in the 2006 International Violin Competition Premio Paganini and has also won prizes at the Hannover International Violin Competition, the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, and also first prize at the Michael Hill International Violin Competition. Following his appearances as soloist with Iván Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra on tour in Beijing in October 2010, Maestro Fischer said: “I found [Ning Feng] to be a special talent and an outstandingly musical artist. There is no doubt that he is a musician at the highest level and plays with genuine passion and a respect for the score. I recommend him without reservation.”
Upcoming dates for Ning’s 2011/12 season include concerts with the Hong Kong Philharmonic/Delfs, Galicia Symphony/Harth-Bedoya, NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover/Gullberg Jensen, Calgary Philharmonic/Minczuk and Orchestre National de Lyon/Foster. Festival appearances in summer 2011 included Gstaad, Annecy, Colmar and Bad Kissingen.
Ning Feng records for Channel Classics in the Netherlands. His most recent recording, Solo, featuring works by Paganini, Kreisler, Berio, Schnittke and others, received a first-class review by Audiophile Audition.
Ning Feng is based in Berlin and plays a Stefan-Peter Greiner violin (Bonn 2007).
Né à Chengdu, en Chine, Feng Ning commença ses études de violon à 4 ans avec Youxin Wen et donna son premier concert un an plus tard. À 11 ans, il étudia au Conservatoire de Musique de Sichuan et fut sélectionné pour participer à des cours d'été en Angleterre et au Canada. En 1998, Feng Ning vint à Londres se perfectionner avec Hu Kun à la Royal Academy of Music. Lors de master classes en 1999, il fut remarqué par Yehudi Menuhin qui l'invita à jouer en Allemagne.
Feng Ning remporta ensuite de nombreux prix, parmi lesquels le 2e Prix du Concours International Yehudi Menuhin (Folkestone, 2000), le 3e Prix du Concours International de Hanovre (2003), le Premier Prix du Concours d’Auckland (Nouvelle-Zélande, 2005) et, plus récemment, le Premier Prix du Concours Paganini 2006 à Gênes.
Parmi ses concerts en 2011/12 : le Hong Kong Philharmonic (Delfs), Orchestre Symphonique de Galice (Harth-Bedoya), NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover (Gullberg Jensen), Calgary Philharmonic (Minczuk) et l'Orchestre National de Lyon (Foster). En été 2011 il s'est présenté aux festivals de Gstaad, Annecy, Colmar et Bad Kissingen.
Ning Feng enregistre pour Channel Classics. Son plus récent CD, Solo, avec des oeuvres de Paganini, Kreisler, Berio, Schnittke entre autres, a été fort remarqué par Audiophile Audition.
Son violon a été réalisé en 2007 par Peter Greiner, un luthier allemand.

Na een opleiding aan het Conservatorium van Sichuan en enkele zomercursussen en workshops in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Canada, vertrok hij naar Londen om zich te perfectioneren bij Hu Kun aan de Royal Academy of Music. In 1999 werd hij tijdens een meesterklas door Yehudi Menuhin opgemerkt en vervolgens uitgenodigd naar Duitsland.
Naderhand behaalde Feng Ning talrijke prijzen, waaronder de 2de prijs van de Internationale Yehudi Menuhinwedstrijd (Folkestone, 2000), de 3de prijs van de Internationale Wedstrijd van Hannover (2003), de 1ste prijs van het concours van Auckland (Nieuw-Zeeland, 2005) en de 1ste prijs van de Paganiniwedstrijd 2006 in Genua.
Onder zijn concerten voor 2011/12 tellen we samenwerkingen met de Hong Kong Philharmonic (Delfs), het Symfonisch Orkest van Galicië (Harth-Bedoya), de NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover (Gullberg Jensen), de Calgary Philharmonic (Minczuk) en het Orchestre National de Lyon (Foster). In de zomer van 2011 trad hij op op de festivals van Gstaad, Annecy, Colmar en Bad Kissingen.
